Fine Arts College was founded in 1978 as an independent sixth form A level college specialising in the study of Arts, Humanities, and Social Sciences. The College provides an opportunity for young people to study in a mature, open, and stimulating atmosphere; a unique bridge between school and university.
About Fine Arts College
The College is located in a charming part of Belsize Park, with the main site situated in a secluded courtyard, originally a Victorian dairy, away from the bustle of the street.
Fine Arts College maintains small class sizes, ensuring an exceptional pass rate in exams. 2015 saw a 98.9% pass rate, with 35% A*/A and 67% A*/B. Work and well-being is constantly monitored, with every pupil having a personal tutor whom they see for an hour and a half each week. The tutor goes through reports, helps with essay-writing, and advises on university applications.
Virtually all students go on to higher education at a range of universities and art, music, and drama schools. Last year, students were successful in gaining places at the University of Oxford, King’s College London, Central St. Martin’s, and Edinburgh, to name a few.
